Fine example of the model no. 1135 Coq Nain mascot in topaz glass
Designed in 1928 and full of symbolism so often seen with René Lalique radiator caps. Offered here is a pre-war example in the rarer topaz glass with excellent good mold quality.
No chips, grinding or restoration. Claws fully intact around base. Some mold lines and air bubbles are apparent as part of the production technique of the time along with some swirling in the glass as you would want to see in a pre-war example.
Molded ‘R. Lalique’ signature to one side of base and wheel-cut ‘France’ to the other. Engraved model no. '1135' to rear of base.
