Fine example of the model no. 1146 Grenouille or frog mascot
Designed in 1928 this playful representation of the frog as a René Lalique radiator cap.
Offered here is an excellent example in clear glass exhibiting good mold quality and a greyish hue and wonderful silky feel to the glass.
No chips, grinding or restoration. Some mold lines and air bubbles are apparent as part of the production technique of the time.
Molded ‘LALIQUE’ behind the right leg and faintly molded 'FRANCE’ behind the left leg. Further engraved 'R. Lalique France' to the front edge of the base.
