Fine example of the model no. 1140 Tete de Paon or peacock head mascot
Designed in 1928 and a stunning representaton of this proud animal as a René Lalique radiator cap.
Offered here is an example in clear glass exhibiting a greyish hue.
No chips, grinding or restoration. Some mold lines and air bubbles are apparent as part of the production technique of the time. Very fine flake chip to the bottom of the base and some marks to the base suggesting previously having been installed in a metal mascot or radiator cap mount.
