Lalique Tete de Coq Car Mascot
Fine example of the model no. 1137 Tete de Coq or cock’s head mascot

Designed in 1928 and full of symbolism so often seen with René Lalique radiator caps. Offered here is a pre-war example in clear and frosted finish exhibiting a greyish hue to the glass.

No chips, grinding or restoration. Some mold lines and air bubbles are apparent as part of the production technique of the time along with some swirling in the glass as you would want to see in a pre-war example.

Molded ‘Lalique France’ to the chest above the base, as is correct for pre-1945 production.

Height 18cm

See here for more information about the coq’s head hood ornament.
