Cinq Chevaux Car Mascot
Fine example of the model no. 1122 Cinq Chevaux mascot

Designed in 1925, considered the first production René Lalique radiator cap. Offered here is a fine early example in clear glass on a later reproduction Breves base. The hood ornament can be fully removed from the mount and there are no hidden issues.

No chips, grinding or restoration. Some mold lines and air bubbles are apparent as part of the production technique of the time. Some dirt and patina to the bottom of the mascot base commensurate with having been installed in a mount for many years (note the 5CV mascot will not stand alone without a base or mount of some type).

Molded ‘R. Lalique’ mark between the rear legs and tails.

Very fine detail to the five horses features showcasing the exquisite detail. Lovely grey hue to the glass.

A rare opportunty to acquire the earliest specific Rene Lalique bouchon de radiateur design.

Height 15cm

Height (including base) 19cm
